BWCA FLY TYING TOURNAMENT

Let’s see your best Boundary Waters fly! Tie up your best fly for fishing the BWCA and send Sportsmen BWCA a picture from August 13th through August 26th, 2021. After an online tournament to determine the best fly, the top 3 winners will be selected to win gift cards from our sponsor, Bob Mitchell’s Fly Shop.

Tournament Rules

Submissions start August 13th and end Thursday, August 26th. To submit your fly, email a photo of the fly to [email protected] or direct message us a photo to our Instagram or Facebook account. One submission per person.

Once the entry period has ended on August 26th, Sportsmen for the Boundary Waters and Bob Mitchell’s Fly Shop staff will select 16 of the best submissions to be entered into an anonymous bracket for voting.

Voting will take place the week of August 30th and will be conducted through the Sportsmen for the Boundary Water’s Instagram page via Instagram stories. Voting is open to anyone and there will be multiple rounds of voting to decide first, second, and third place winners of the 16 competitor bracket.

Each of the top three will receive a gift card from Bob Mitchell’s fly shop. First: $100 Second: $75 Third: $50; All 16 selected flys for the tournament bracket will receive a Sportsmen for the Boundary Waters sticker packet.

Winners will be announced Friday, September 3rd, and notified through which each submission was entered.
